Good friend needs some advice; he is a professional video editor plus an avid gamer.
Would like a system that can do both, but primary goal is the editing.
His budget is ~$1500+

Not seeing a CPU/Ram platform, PSU, cooling or a lot of other parts needed to complete a rig. What parts does your friend need? Everything? Or do they have some parts to carry over from a old rig?

Thanks for the reply; no everything I listed is what he has that could be reusable.
He needs case, PSU, CPU, etc, etc.

Doesn't need W10, keyboard, mouse though

cpu should be a good multi core so i'd recommend a r5 2600x or if you dont mind some older tech then a 1700x would suit very well.

any motherboard that suits the am4 socket would work and 16gb of ram would be a minimum if he plans on doing serious editing.
