So I tried overclocking my PC from 2012, with a MB P6X58D-E and 3.2Ghz i7 core. In hind-sight, I should probably have scrapped that idea and be just glad it works without a glitch. The overclocking attempt produced good benchmark results, but the system eventually froze. So in the end, I reset all BIOS settings back to default. However, ever since the overclocking attempt, the PC freezes at random after 15 to 50 minutes, even when it is not stressed. I guess the overclock attempt caused some damage to the old ah heck. So, what is the best way to diagnose why are the freezes happening? I still have a Windows 7 OS, and at this point and do not want to bother with an upgrade if I don't know if the system will work in order or not...
