System freezing, strange possible connection to RAM

Hi. I tried building a budget gaming PC for a friend and purchased an older PC with a M4N68T Pro board and exchanged the Phenom II 2 for a Phenom II 6, upgraded the RAM to 16GB and the video card to a more modern one. I also installed a couple of additional fans.

Now the problem is: the computer freezes randomly after some time and then keeps on freezing until I take all the RAM out and then put the modules back one by one. It's very strange. I tried other modules: same result. I did a RAM check: all great. I have no idea what to do from this point on.

Should I have? No, I actually didn't but the temperatures were all very average, plus when it starts freezing, it does already at boot time while in the not freezing phase, the computer could run for hours under heavy load.
