Motherboard: Asus Maximus Z690 Formula
I have tested the hardware very thoroughly, so please keep this in mind.
I have installed Windows 10 in this machine before but I ran into a boot loop issue and decided to do a reinstall.
I’ve ran into this issue in another way when I first installed it back in 2022, but I can’t recall the configurations I used for the installation.
I’ve cleared up the SSDs, took off one of the RAM sticks, the GPU, the M2 slot for the extra SSD, and just reset the CMOS battery, and I still get errors from the old Windows installation (that are similar to the loop I had before).
All the errors point to a failed software/driver update
KMODE_ERROR
SYSTEM_CHECK
PAGE_NON_DEFAULT
0xc000021a
Common drivers I see on these errors: CL.dll, wimfsf.sys.
What I’m not getting is: I reset the SSD that contained Windows. It means it shouldn’t be throwing BSODs. What am I missing for it to not reset properly so I can reinstall Windows without going through the old one?
Please and thank you
