I am using Intel DB75EN executive series motherboard coupled with 8GB DDR3 RAM and Intel i5 processor (3rd Gen). Recently I purchased Zotac Geforce GT710 1GB DDR3 64Bit graphics card from Amazon since my old graphics card Zotac Geforce GT630 2GB DDR3 128 bit Synergy Edition started giving problem.

However, whenever I am attaching my new graphics card that is GT710, my system gives beep sound and does not start up. My motherboard has a slot which is labelled as PCI Express x16. I assume this is PCIe 1.0. Correct me if I am wrong.
On Zotac website, PCI standard for GT710 is given as PCIe 2.0. So is it having some compatibility issue?

As far as I know, PCI 2.0 is backward compatible. Can I use this graphics card or there is some hardware fault with this new one? Kindly help me out.

Nothing else changed. When I am removing the new card, system is working fine with VGA display. It is starting up even with old GPU. But it neither starts up nor display anything with new card.

Beep sounds are like 2 or 3 consecutive beeps and then nothing happens. HDD led turns off. Only the power led remains ON.

So new graphics card with 2.0 interface should work with 1.0 x16 slot right?
