Can anyone help?
Trying to create a system image from Windows 7 to my Seagate external hard drive, but it keeps failing after about 25% with an error message "the request could not be performed because of an I/O device error Ox8007045D"

The Seagate drive has been formatted and is NTFS system have also run check disk from windows and have also run a Seagate disk check and both say the drive is fine have checked my computer drive C for errors and that's ok too.

Went to services to check volume shadow copy service was started and have started and restarted this and still no joy does anybody have a way around this problem so I can backup the system image thanks in advance

Hi Chesteracorgi
Thanks for post thought about this and remembered that I had an old 500GB hard drive that I swopped in my Sky Box so I hooked that up in the desktop case and the system image then transferred onto that hard drive no problem, I then sent a copy of that folder from that 2nd drive to the external hard drive it took a little longer than the first copy to the internal drive but it seems to be fine now why it didn't work the other way I'm not sure but if this is a way around this problem so be it, thanks very much for your help
