I faced strange issue which makes my pc unusable at all. I'll try to provide as much info as I can.

My system spec are:

i7-4770k
Asrock fatal1ty z87 killer
Asus gtx 770 SLI
Samsung evo 840 120gb ssd for OS on sata port0 (C drive)
Western digital 1 tb on port 1 (D drive)
Xfx 750w gild PSU
Windows 8.1

Problem: my PC won't restart, if I try to do restart, it shows restarting and stays like that for like 10 minutes.

When I load to windows, it sometimes loads D drive for like 1 minute

When I try to play avi. File, it crashes and freezes all the system for a 30 or more seconds.

Sometimes my PC screens stays black when I load into windows. Then comes back after couple minutes.

I can't run programs, or search, sometimesit takes 2 minutes to open event viewer.

System is completely f'ed up.

It started doing that at the same time I tried to use HDMI over cat5 extender to watch movie on my TV at the another room.

I got some errors about intel rapid storage something. Than something about raid, or HDD. Can't tell you exactly, because I didn't paid attention to that. Now I am getting some errors I see in events log:

The description for event I'd 1 from source nvstreamsvc cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.
Event I'd 1, source nvstreamsvc

Another one is:

Reset to device,\dvice\raidport1, was issued .
Event I'd 129, source iastora.

One more:

The system failed to flush days to the transaction log. Corruption may occur in volumeld: d:, device name: device\Harddiskvolume3. (The I/o device reported an I/o error.)

Event I'd 140,/source NTFS (Microsoft-windows-ntfs)

One more:

An error was detected on device device\harddisk\dr1 during a paging operatiot
Event ID 51, source: disk

Other 2 changes in past 2 days was new nvidia drivers installed, python and pyscripter installation and far cry 4 installation.

Thank you for your help guys.

edit: looks like my D drive is taking couple minutes or more to load game launchers and stuff like that. While it was instant loads earlier today.

Hello pabarstukai

This sounds like either a RAM memory problem or HDD going to hell. Have you tried booting into safe mode see if it still flakes out, could just be a driver issue. After that Id first if your worried about data on the HDD, hopefully you have a spare or old HDD laying around or could borrow one. Clone the HDD on the suspect machine onto the spare one using Clonezilla its free Here. now start toubleshooting the machine. I'd start with the clone you just made try booting the machine with it instead of the existing one see if the problem persists. Now memory i assume u have more that one module try one at a time in each slot and see if the problem improves till you've tried all modules in every slot. Then check back and let me know what you came up with.
