SYSTEM MODIFICATION FOR MY GAMING PC

Hi everyone,this is Indrashis from Kolkata(india)
I have a PC with these specifications-
AMD Phenom II X4 945 3.0 Ghz
Gigabyte 880GM-UD-2H
XFX ATI 5770 1GB GDDR5
2 x 2GB DDR3 RAM
500GB HDD
15.6" LCD display (1360 X 768)
Win-7 ultimate 64 bit
I use it mostly for playing games(all of them actually), surfing internet and watching movie etc.
I want to know if the current specification of my PC is good enough for playing new games which will be releasing in next 1-1.5 years?
If not,what modifications should I make?
**(Note: I don't have a gaming PC cabinet and i use a stock AMD heat sink)**

I'd suggest not upgrading unless you're not content with CURRENT performance, as prices drop every day.

You have a quad core CPU which is good!! Better than mine. You should be able to play newer games (less demanding) on med-high settings. And maybe the more demanding ones to be released, on lower settings. And as Sunius said, prices do drop every other day so best to hang in with your current hardware as long as you can 😉
