I'm looking to do a colour scheme in my system red and black. But my graphics card is yellow and I know i can just take the casing off the GPU and spray it. But i just want to know basically that its safe and there is no treat of static messing up my system.

Static shouldnt be the concern, it should be YOU doing something stupid and getting paint somewhere it shouldn't or you putting the cooler on wrong.

Then again, if you do it right, it should be cool.

If you're worried about static, then make sure you ground yourself (touch your PSU or the screws on a light switch).

Just be patient and take it slow. Make sure your paint doesn't get in any unwanted places.
