[SOLVED] System not booting after CPU upgrade!

I bought a new CPU to upgrade from my current one and I can't get it to work. Prior to installing I flashed the BIOS to version 2.8 and also removed the CMOS battery and waited 5 mins or so before putting it back. Once I installed it and went to boot up the system, nothing came up on the monitors and I got no response from the keyboard or mouse. I also tried plugging my monitors into the MB directly and still nothing. I have tried re-seating the CPU and the RAM and tried it without my GPU in as well. My current CPU still works when I re-install it and I am able to load the computer just fine, but the new one just doesn't seem to want to work. Is the CPU busted or is there something else I should try doing?

Any help would be appreciated!

New CPU: Intel Core i7-4790 3.6 ghz

I do not see version V2.8 like you see on the list. I saw v2.7 to support latest pentium chip Haswel refresh. If v2.5 does not work for i7 4790 (but still work on your old i5 4570), then there is a good chance that i7 4790 is dead.

Damn I’m done goofed, when flashing the bios I didn’t click on BIOS and ME the first time
