[SOLVED] System not powering up but mobo light is on

Hi,

I am encountering a frustrating issue here.

When I press my power button, the system doesn't fire up. Tried by changing the AC Adapter wire but issue not solved. I can see the mobo lights on. It only fires up when I try to pull the adapter loosely from the socket and at some point, it fires up.

Please help thanks.

Specs:

CPU-FX-8350
GPU Asus GTX 1080 Ti
RAM 16GB DDR3
Motherboard Asus M5A99FX.
SMPS: Cooler Master V850

What ac adapter are you talking about? Images? Or are you talking about the power cable that goes into the PSU from the wall?
If you're talking about the wall cable, have you tried a different socket?

Yes I was talking about the power cable that goes from Psu to the wall. I changed the socket and the cable itself but no change.

Do you have another psu laying around you can test, it might be a bad power supply

Hello, I don't have another PSU at the moment. Guess I have to buy one. I will install it and let you know.
