System POST takes 10 seconds?

My Asus Maximus VIII Hero takes 10 seconds to [strike]post[/strike] POST, then another 20s before windows load. I have a Samsung 850 Evo 250gb. I don't understand?

Try manual settings for first boot device and default graphics. Most of times BIOS gets stuck looking for them. In some cases, USB sticks and some other devices may delay POST and booting.

Do you know where I could find that? Using UEFI Windows 10, I was able shave off 5 seconds, but it's still higher than I expect. My computer with a Gigabyte motherboard (still z170) only takes 9s to boot, now it's like 20s for my current build.

Sorry, don't know exactly how in that one but it's in the BIOS or UEFI. it should be called something like "Windows Boot Device" in UEFI. Should be able to find instructions in the manual. There's probably also a setting like Fast BOOT or ultra fast boot.
