"System" Process taking 30-40% of CPU Usage (Windows 10)

my laptop was opening programs slow and running kinda slow so i opened the task manager and this http://imgur.com/a/xLKXn and I don't know how to fix it. can anyone help?

Right click on it and hit end process. What does the dialogue box say (don't hit yes yet)?

i've tied to end process but its greyed out

What antivirus do you have? You could try running a full scan. System processes usually aren't named System and using a lot of CPU time, so your computer may be infected.

i don't really have one all I have i malwarebytes and windows defender but i'll run a full scan on malwarebytes

run msconfig from start menu and go to service tab and deactivate all services that is not from MS or something you do not recognize.

finally go to Strat-up in your task manager and disable anything you do not need or recognize.

Don't go disabling services without knowing what they are. You can break a lot of things that way. We can go through them carefully after we see what a virus scan shows us.

and also the "System" Process is now at 0.2-1 % of usage
and im still waiting for the scan to finish

Deselect the option "Show me tips about Windows" and reboot the computer.
