System Questions

Ok I plan on getting a new system soon and i am in the process of putting together a list of components for it. I want to overclock it, but to tell the truth I have no clue where or how to begin. Here's the plane I have so far:

TT Xaser V Damier w/ 420 PSU
Asus P5GD2 Deluxe
P4 550
Crucial Ballistix pc2-5300 512mb (2)
Audigy2 ZS
dvd-rom
dvd burner
Seagate 120 gb
MSI nx6800-td256e
Debating on a zalman 7700cu or water cooled

Now my questions are: Will i be able to overclock this configuration? I'm really not looking to overclock the video card and may downgrade that to something a little cheaper, so that's not a factor. How do i go about overclocking? Is the zalman going to be efficient enough to cool?

It should overclock OK. I'd go with a DDR board and some Crucial Ballistix PC4000 for increased performance.

I'm guessing I couldn't talk you into a more efficient CPU, but I'm sure someone else will try!

For overclocking the video card, use the address below to download coolbits. It will be in the nvidia settings and its pretty much self explainatory.

The 550 is already a pretty hot cpu, so I'm not sure about the cooler. To overclock the cpu, go into the bios and change the front side bus and multiplier. Use the address below for more detailed instructions.
