Hello everyone,

A few days ago, I upgraded my system with the following changes:

  • CPU: Ryzen 5 5600 → Ryzen 7 5800X
  • PSU: Corsair VS550 → Corsair RM750e
Here is the rest of my system:

  • GPU: ASUS TUF RTX 4070
  • RAM: G.Skill 32 GB (16x2) 3200 MHz
  • Motherboard: MSI B550A Pro
Before the upgrade (when I had the 5600 and VS550), I had no issues. However, after upgrading to the 5800X and RM750e, my system randomly restarts while gaming (Black Desert Online, CS2, etc.), usually after some time. Interestingly, I have no issues during stress tests like Prime95, AIDA64, OCCT, and Cinebench.

Here’s what I’ve tried so far:

  • Enabled PBO but manually lowered power limits.
  • Monitored PSU voltage outputs (12V rail is stable at 12V, 5V at 5V, etc.).
  • Performed a clean format of Windows.
  • Disabled XMP, manually set RAM to 3200MHz @ 1.35V.
Before formatting, I tested without XMP, and the system was stable for 5+ hours of gaming. After formatting, I enabled XMP again, and my PC restarted 40 minutes into CS2.

In Event Viewer, I noticed Event ID 46, which seems relevant.
Additionally, a minidump file was created.

Here is the OneDrive link to the minidump file: https://onedrive.live.com/?cid=57E452926C5B58A0&id=57E452926C5B58A0!s481d30a27c8540a99369d1d232fdf1b5&parId=root&o=OneUp

I suspect there may be an issue with RAM stability, but I'm unsure why XMP is suddenly causing problems after a CPU upgrade. Could this be a memory controller issue with the 5800X, or something else?

While monitoring PSU values during stress tests, I don’t see any issues. Even when stress-testing CPU and GPU simultaneously, the 12V rail drops to a minimum of 11.7V, which should still be within acceptable limits. Other rails also show similar behavior.

I ran MemTest86 to test the stability, no issues found.

Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Update:
Before changing the PSU, I tested only with the CPU upgrade, and my system still restarted in Black Desert Online. This led me to think my 550W PSU was insufficient, so I bought a new one. However, now I’m not sure if my system was even pulling full power in the game at that moment. Could this be a CPU-related issue instead?

When posting a thread of troubleshooting nature, it's customary to include your full system's specs. Please list the specs to your build like so:
CPU:
CPU cooler:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:
include the age of the PSU apart from it's make and model. BIOS version for your motherboard at this moment of time.

Performed a clean format of Windows.
Where did you source the installer for the OS? Did you recreate the installer to rule out a corrupt installer? Speaking of OS installs, did you install the OS in offline mode, to later install all necessary drivers in an elevated command?

I installed it directly from Windows 11 Officia Site via burning into USB stick. Also yeah, i installed it in offline mode. But as i said i had the issue before the format too.

Edit
My temperatures are around 70-80 degrees in Prime95 tests. In games its 75 maximum.
