Hello friends,

I'm working in the video editing. I'm going to buy a system for small jobs at home. I settled in Turkey. Equipment is a bit expensive here.

There isn't much of a difference.

What video editing software (and others apps as applicable) will you be using?

Most software manufacturers provide some listing of hardware requirements in the form of "minimal", "recommended", and "best".

You do not want "minimal" and you do want as much "best" as you can afford within your budget of 800-900 USD. Be ready to increase your budget if necessary.

My thought is that that i3 may not be enough.

PSU - 650 Watts noted. May be a bit low. However, what is also important is the make and model (quality) of the PSU.

Yes, I mostly use Adobe Premier Pro.

I can stretch my budget a bit. I'll try my luck with the i5 12th gen or 11th gen.
I guess 650W is not low for this system. But if there is a problem I can get a better PSU.

When I choose i5 in the 1st option, there is a difference of 100-150 USD. (I guess)
I will buy this system both for doing simple things at home and for my son to play with.

I'll check with the local store and edit.

Yes get a bigger/better PSU first, and then you should also budget for a moderately large HDD (6-12TB) to use a cache/storage drive for your renders, and more ram (32-64GB) would help also :)

lookie here for moar info, but keep in mind that the specs listed there are the bare MINIMUMS....but are far from optimal.... :)

Please budget for a bigger power supply. Your system won’t take any more from your power supply than it needs, but if it needs more than your power supply can give it, you will have problems. For CPU, I5 , 11th gen or better will be a must in my opinion.
Good luck.

Intel processors have a continuing spectrum of performance from I3 to I9.
The key is to select the performance you need.
I3-12100 is reasonable. 13th gen will usually get you more for your money. I3-13100 for example.
For the small price premium, buy the non F version.
It will include the quick sync capability which I think your apps can use.

A basic H610 motherboard will limit ram speed to 3200.
Yes, the 3600 speed ram will work, but only at 3200.
Pay a bit more for a B660 motherboard.
