System restart without BSOD

A few months ago I started a thread about my system restarting when the GPU was stressed. I had believed the problem was solved with a graphics driver update. However I was mistaken as the problem returned shortly after that. Considering all that has been done since then, I have decided to start a new thread.

Full system specs-

MB: MSI H110M Gaming
CPU: I5-6500 3.2 GHz
RAM: 2x 8GB Team Elite DDR4 2133
GPU: MSI RX 480 Armor 4G OC
SSD: Sandisk SSD Plus 480GB
PSU: EVGA Supernova 550 G2
OS: Windows 10 Home 64bit

I built this system in Feb. 2017 and everything ran fine until about Nov. 2017. Then the system began to restart when the GPU was stressed, pretty regularly at about 20 minutes, during gaming or running benchmark programs. There was no bluescreen or error message at the time of restart, it was just like pressing the reset button. Windows event viewer shows the following error after the restart-

The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly.

Log Name: System
Source: Kernel-Power
Event ID: 41
Level: Critical

At that time I did the following-

-Checked system temps. GPU max temp at restart 72°C CPU max temp at restart 69°C
-Cleaned the case, fans and filters.
-Ran windows memory diagnostic, no problems detected.
-Ran Prime95 to stress the CPU, no restart, no other problems.
-Updated all drivers to current versions.
-Ensured all connections were secure
-Changed power strip/wall outlet

There was no change in the systems behavior at this point.

I then contacted EVGA about an RMA on the power supply. At the request of EVGA tech support, I removed the graphics card and ran on integrated graphics. Stressing the system minus the GPU did not result in a restart. EVGA approved my RMA on the PSU. When I installed the new power supply everything seemed to go well. I didn't have a lot of time for testing that day, but forty-five minutes of stressing the GPU did not cause a restart. The next day, however, the restarts returned when stressing the GPU, exactly the same as before replacing the PSU.

At this point I reformatted the SSD and reinstalled windows (a clean install, I gave up all my data) and after the reinstall and automatic windows update the system would restart during light use. The time of the restarts seemed to be random this time, from minutes to hours. Sometimes it would restart and as the system was starting up it would restart again in a loop. Other times windows would load and the system would run for a while before restarting. Again I removed the graphics card and stressing the system couldn't replicate the problem. So I contacted MSI about an RMA on the graphics card, which is still with them.

However, the system began restarting without the graphics card, running on integrated graphics. Three days ago I couldn't replicate the problem and suddenly here it is again. I loaded a system restore point from three days ago (before I noticed the first restart without the graphics card) and the system has been running without restart for a few hours now (though the way it's been behaving I'm not sure if that means anything).

I am completely at a loss as to what is going on. Every time I think I have it nailed down, the problem returns with the same result (restart). At this point I believe I'm down to either the motherboard or a problem with windows itself.

Any suggestions on what to try next would be appreciated.

Edit- I booted the system in safe mode, and let a random youtube video play. After about 30 minutes the system restarted even in safe mode.

Many of the steps in the guide I have already done. I will go through it and be sure I've checked them all off. Thanks.

Update:

For several hours today, I let a random youtube playlist run on Chrome while I did some work around the house. I checked in periodically and there appeared to have been no restart. I closed chrome and plugged in a USB flash drive to run memtest86. Immediately after plugging in the flash drive, the system restarted. I removed the flash drive and the system restarted four times within five minutes after that. Letting it sit powered off for several minutes before powering it back up has allowed the system to run long enough for me to post this.

Edit- I tested the same USB flash drive in a laptop and all worked correctly.

Edit 2- The first time I plugged in the flash drive was in the front USB port on the case, which resulted in a restart. Now I've plugged the USB flash drive into the rear USB port on the MB. It did not cause a restart like the front port did. Then I unplugged the flash drive from the rear port and plugged it into the front port again. No restart this time.

I just can't seem to reliably replicate the problem.
