My dads computer was on the entire day when suddenly after dinner he saw an windows error :( blue screen. I tried restarting the pc but I couldn't get it working. I've tried the system restore but that failed, I tried running in safe mode and put in "chkdsk c: /f" and "DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth" in the cmd but still no sign of life.

What could we do next and what is the problem?

I recently activated windows using a key i bought online, but that has nothing to do with it I guess.

Thanks in advance for the help!

There are over 270 BSOD codes so knowing what the error message is would help work out what to do next.

What was PC doing when it crashed? Idle or playing a game or what? So you get BSOD at startup unless in safe mode? It could just be a driver. Getting into safe mode seems to indicate its not a bad windows error (as some just refuse to work in safe mode too)

Do you know the specs of PC? Is it a brand name PC or custom made?

DISM only really help if it was an error caused by windows and not something else.

If safe mode works, try backing up anything on PC he doesn't want to lose. Just in case.

How old is windows install? Do you know if its on current build? Version 1803? Only reason I ask is there is a file called Memory.dmp...

Only reason I ask is there is a file called Memory.dmp located in C:\windows folder and if its less than several GB in size, we could use it to figure out what BSOD was and maybe what caused it. You would need to copy onto USB and upload to an file sharing web site and show link here.
