Question System restore message

I'm trying to repair my laptop since a failed system restore. I've tried to do a system restore again but there's a message saying you must always restore drive that contains windows. Does anyone know more about this. Thanks

There's another message saying you must enable system protection on this drive. There is a box by it but it won't allow me to check it.
