System Restore

Hey, I am having an issue after using System Restore on a PC. I ran system
restore and everything seemed to go smoothly. After I rebooted the machine
the System Restore window popped up. Didn't think nothing of it but this
happens every time I reboot or after a shutdown. Once the system comes up
and logs into Windows, the System Restore window comes up. Anyone know why
this is happening and how to stop it?

Thanks,

Hi,

Download "Startup program tracker" and run it. Click View Log and do a search for
rstrui.exe
http://www.dougknox.com/xp/utils/index.html

If it shows up, post the start area from the log here.

Reinstalling System Restore will fix the problem, but all restore points will be lost in
the process.
So there is a benefit to locating where it's starting from.

How to reinstall System Restore:
