System should get gigabit potential, only getting 30 Mbps download and upload speeds.

So, I just did a test on the downloadable version of the Ookla Speedtest (so no ads were in the way) with everything else closed, and I only got around 30 Mbps (Yes, MegaBITS) for downloads and uploads, and the ping was fine. My current setup includes the Intel I219-V gigabit port on the motherboard, 4 of the 10/100/1000 LAN ports on the router of which only one is being used, me, (as well as a WAN port I don't use) and a Cat6 cable is being used to connect the two (it is only 3 feet long). At the time of posting, all of the firmware and drivers are up to date. Any ideas? Thanks ahead of time.

Is this brand new service? Or did you always have this speed tier and just decided now to check it? Have the provider verify that they provisioned you for proper speed tier.

Check router signal strength and signal-to-noise (SNR) ratio of the router. Call the provider and ask them to remotely look at the router, and check if everything looks okay on their end.

And now I realized that even though the router supports gigabit, I only have service for up to 100 Mbps (I guess ISPs can remotely limit bandwidth) Well, now I realize I'm an idiot. Thanks for the help.
