System shows XP Media Center Edition 2002 when should be 2005

Hello,
I recently did a clean install of Windows XP on my laptop. The disc indicates that it's XP Media Center 2005 with update rollup 2. However, my system is showing that I only have Windows XP Media Center Edition 2002. Did I miss something in the install process that caused this?

How are you checking the version? Are you sure you are not looking at the version of XP it is based on?

Bizarrely this has just happened to me too! I have just done a clean install from my XP MCE 2005 disc but the system properties window says I have XP MCE version 2002 with sp3 installed. Additionally I cannot install Windows Media Player v11 as this was not designed for XP MCE 2002! I have installed sp3 and all the current XP updates.

Any ideas?
