System shutdown under full load

Hello tomshardwarecommunity,

I've build a system for a friend of mine half a year ago. Now we started played a graphic intensive game (7 Days to Die) and noticed sudden blackscreens and a self-restart after a couple of seconds. We put the Graphics card and CPU under Furmark 100% load which resulted in a instant shutdown. Temps are not exceeding CPU: 55 C GPU: 75 C.
The system turns on again just fine so I dont think the PSU is broken. Additionally he's reporting some weird actions (restarting, stuttering behaviour) on USB devices such as mice, keyboard, headset etc. which I have not yet seen though. I only have limited (close to none) chance of taking things out and testing them.
What I did till now: Memcheck on RAM, full test on HDD, reinstalling the System (both Win 7 and 10), reconfigured the PSU power cables and cleaned any dust off.

I hope someone can help me and could give me a hint about what it may be (I still suspect the PSU, my friend thinks its the Mobo we bought used)

Specs:

Intel i5 4690k @ stock w/ EKL Brocken Eco
PowerColor Radeon R9 290x
2x4 GB Crucial Ballistix Sport DDR3-1600 CL9
MSI B85-G41 PC Mate Motherboard
650 Watt Corsair VS Series Non-Modular
WD Blue 1TB HDD

well if it would be like that why does it works fine on a Corsair CX 600?

Your psu is dying slowly (defect maybe rma)

Its only 7 months old and has never been abused in any form

I've checked w/ Coretemp and when I do the full load test on Furmark, it shuts off instantly, not even 2 Seconds delay while the Heatsink of the CPU and GPU stays cold (because it shuts off so fast)

Its at 55°C under prime95. Its leaving me after one quater of a second. Its not the cooling...............
