I have an HP DV7t-3300. The system randomly shuts down - no BSOD, no warning - and will not turn back on. I have to unplug it, remove the battery and hold the power button a bit.
If I boot the machine without the battery, it runs for hours/days with no issues.
Could this be just a bad battery? or is it, as I suspect, an issue with the motherboard charging system?
