i have following components under hood:
mercury 945gcm motherboard
core 2 duo e4500 2.2ghz
3gb ddr2 667fsb ram
1tb and 320gb hdd sata
sparkle nvidia 9400gt
550 watt smps
windows 8.1
i want to change the cpu with e8400 and 4gb ram 2x2gb chips
also can i put a gtx 750 ti in it?

Get the 1050 Ti instead.

Games like killing floor 2, dota 2, league of legends are pretty perfect for the 750 Ti but still suggest you getting 1050 Ti.
