Built a custom PC about a year ago and ever since, its been really slow booting, loading, etc. My 4 year old macbook pro laptop opens lightroom and photoshop faster. Anyways. here are the specs, im thinking maybe some components arent compatible.
ASUS LGA2011-v3 X99 ATX Motherboard X99-DELUXE II
Intel Core i7-6900K Processor
ASUS ROG Strix GeForce® GTX 1080
Toshiba OCZ RD400A M.2 2280 + AIC 512GB PCI-Express 3.0 x 4 MLC Internal Solid State Drive
G.SKILL TridentZ Series 32GB (4 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3400
Corsair HXi Series, HX850i, 850 Watt
Corsair Hydro Series H115i Extreme Performance Liquid CPU Cooler
Plus a few other hard drives, sound card, etc...
Id think with this setup, programs would open much faster, render times would be better, but it sorta feels like my old 3770k setup that i built 4 years ago, even tho that pc seems much faster, from post to windows, only takes like 10 seconds compared to about 40 seconds with this one. I had it overclocked for a while, but wasnt stable, so now its stock everything.
