Question System turning itself off ?

Within the last week my comp has been turning itself off, and periodically it goes to a recovery screen.
When it turns off the fans and lights go on and off a bit then it starts up again, it will then work another 5 min and do the same again.
Sometimes it will work for a few hours without turning itself off.

Anyone have an idea?
