System Turns Off On First Boot?

Hi there,

When I turn my system off after a while switched off, it seems to shut itself down before it logs into Windows. Once turned on again, it starts fine. It's a system I and a friend built from all new components.

I was having some issues with blue screens on startup too but have been diagnosing them as I go. The previous BSoDs are:

KERNAL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE
(Ran Memory Diagnostic tool, no errors)

SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED
(Reinstalled GPU drivers in safe mode)

MEMORY_MANAGEMENT
(Updated BIOS and ran MemTest. 12 passes, 0 errors).


All my drivers etc seem to be up to date and this was a straight Windows 10 install on to new components.The blue screens seem to have stopped now but it seems it continues to turn itself off on first boot. It's worth noting that I haven't blue screened during use, it was only ever during startup.

If anyone could shed any light as to why this is happening, please do.

8GB DDR4 2133 RAM
Gigabyte GTX 970 Twin Turbo OC
500W - EVGA 80+ PSU
