Hi all,
Since I added some extra RAM sticks (2x4GB) next to the original (2x4GB) RAM sticks, I tend to get alot of BSOD's. See the relevant information below, the 2 new sticks I bought are practically the same as the 2 original ones, except these are the LP (low profile) versions. Timings and frequency's are the same. My CPU is set to the XMP-profile in BIOS and the memory is set to run at 1600Mhz. I placed the memory sticks in alternating order, such that the old ones are in the blue slots and the new ones are in the black slots.
MOBO: Asus p8z68-v pro
CPU: Intel Core i7-2600K
GPU: Nvidia GTX 1070
SSD1: Samsung 840 Evo 250GB
SSD2: Samsung 860 Evo 1TB
Memory (original): Corsair CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9 (2x4GB)
Memory (new): Corsair CML8GX3M2A1600C9 (2x4GB)
Current BIOS settings:

I have searched for related issues on this forum and saw different suggestions. However, since I'm not that much of a geek to comfortably play around with these settings, I would like to ask your advice for my personal situation. What can cause these BSOD's? Should I increase some voltage? DRAM or VCCIO (VCCSA is not to be found on my BIOS)? Should I downclock from 1600Mhz to 1333Mhz? And what are the effects of doing so?
Thanks in advance for replying.
Kind regards,
Wouter
