Hey guys, so I bought a custom build gaming PC from DinoPC just over a year ago and I think it's maybe about time it gets a bit of an upgrade. It can play most games on medium-high just fine but I'd like it to be capable of a bit more and future-proof it somewhat.

I'm likely to upgrade one component at a time as I don't have a huge monthly income. Full build below. Thanks for any advice you guys can give me.

CPU: AMD FX 8320 Black Edition
CPU Cooler:Cooler Master Hyper 103
RAM: 16GB DDR3 1600mhz (2x8GB)
Graphics card: MSI GeForce® GTX 960 4GB OC
Motherboard: Gigabyte 78LMT‐USB3
Operating System: Windows 10 Home (64‐bit)
Hard Drive:1TB S‐ATAIII 6.0Gb/s Included
Case: CIT Dragon3 Black
PSU:650W Corsair VS
Internet: Wireless 802.11N 300Mbps MIMO PCI

Solution
Gigabyte 78LMT‐USB3 uses the AMD 760G Chipset which was introduced in 2009. It only uses SATA 3Gb/s connectors to show an example of its age.

The AM3+ platform has been superseded by AM4. Any upgrades should be based on AM4 or Intel 7th and 8th Generation CPUs. I don't see much sense in upgrading one component at a time on your current system as you will need motherboard, CPU, DDR4 memory and likely a new Windows license.
