I currently have this computer that i have been using for 3d modeling and other sorts of things. I now would like to turn it into a gaming pc. Was thinking of upgrading to a 980ti and changing the case to a Graphite Series 760T. Any other suggestions? Thoughts?

Gaming is most dependent on the graphics card.
If you are gaming at 1080P, I would think a GTX970 would play most games well. If you are looking for gaming at 4k resolution, then a GTX980ti would be good.

I see no reason to change out your case.

As a suggestion, Buy yourself a Samsung EVO ssd large enough to hold the contents of your hard drive.
Samsung has a ssd migration utility that will do the job easily.
You will be amazed at the everyday performance improvement.
Repurpose your hard drive for large sequential files such as videos or backups.

Thanks :) do you really think that upgrading my PSU is important though? It wouldnt be because i needed more wattage sense I already have enough. What exactly would be the benefit of upgrading?

Thanks :)

I'm planning on using three ASUS VG248QE 24" 1080p 144Hz 3D Gaming LED Monitors in surround mode. Would this still be overkill? assuming i wanted to keep the 144hz in surround? I am hoping to do the SSD upgrade aswell seeing as my other computers have always had nice SSD's and im not sure i could live without it 🙁. good recommendation though :)

You really should upgrade the PSU, its not the wattage but the quality of the unit. Having a low quality unit has a much higher risk of damaging your other parts which are high-end and then there's the possibility of causing an electrical fire as well.

Foe triple monitor gaming, a GTX980ti is probably appropriate.
If your games are fast action shooters, a second card may well be needed to get a really fps rate.
Defer on that until you really experience triple monitors and can determine what you need.

If you go sli gtx980ti, a 750w psu should do the job.
Your psu is a tier 3 unit on this chart. OK, that's all.
I would not change it out.
