hello,
[strike]Experts, gamers, members, my fellow ps2 comrades, i need your help on deciding the best course to breathe new life into my age old pc, your vast knowledge will certainly help, that still somehow still running strong <pun intended> .My aim is to get atleast 50-60 fps in large battles, with all the settings maxed, which i think with current tech should be achievable./[/strike]
THREAD UPDATE
considering the market right now, i think it would be best to aim for something that'll last for next 5 years. my current system lasted me for 5 years already, going into its 6 year without any hitch in any games till now, thou had to graphic quality droped thats given thou.
My current specs are:-
CPU - i5 2400 stock
Ram - 16gig
Mobo - intel h67 (worst part i know, T_T)
gpu - gtx 670 amp zotac
hdd - age old spinners
case - haf 922
psu - corsair tx 850v2
monitor - samsung s23700d, yes 120hz
keyboard/mouse - standard stuff, g402 mouse
windows 7
[strike]with this system i get around, well not get but rather barely make it to 25-30fps on ultra in meduim large fights indoor, with tanks etc runing around its barely playable if you count random firing as playing. This is what i want to get rid off to hopefully make my experiance better, and this is where i need your help very very much, i cant emphasize how much <_>.[/strike]
So here's my idea of new system
New system (hopefully)
CPU - intel 6 core
ram - 32 gig
mobo - undecided
gpu - undecided
hdd --> SSD, OFCOURSE!, brand - samsung? i guess
case - haf 922 --> [strike]a bit of modding should help with large gpus?[/strike] as small package as possible
psu - tx 850v2 --> [strike]again carryover, its 5 years old, it should last another 3-4 years[/strike] considering upgrading this now as well, seeing a psu may die on me, mid life in
monitor - [strike]again carryover, no issues with current one so far[/strike] looking for 1440p monitor 144hz preferably
key/mouse - carryover
windows 10 pro,[strike] unless ps2 requires win 7[/strike]
Your feedback is very valuable, i hope to hear from you guys soon.
purchase period, ASAP
Budget no constrain, but i need a build which is at least moderately energy efficient and as small footprint as possible
Regards,
APS
