Everything was working fine till Avast did an update at Christmas and got error UI failed to launch.

Now it keeps going into Startup repair and got that the System Volume is Corrupt I cant put a disc in as it was lost in a move. Has anyone any ideas on how I can fix this.

The computer is using Windows 7 Home Premium.

Thanks for all your help it is very much appreciated

Hi hang-the-9
Yes It works now in safe mode for an hour or two and then the blue screen shuts it down. I did a check with Western digital program on the health of the Hard disk and it said it passed? I have now Avast off my system and have AVG and Malwarebytes running on it. Thanks for your help

So even with Avast uninstalled it still crashes? Does the bluescreen crash happen during any particular use? Does it show what the crash was? Check event logs in Windows it should show you the crash.

Yes With Avast uninstalled it still crashes. The blue screen happens after it has been on a while it lasted to three hours. I have a photo of what i found in the event viewer but cant add it here?

Thanks for your help

Upload the photo to an image sharing site, there is a Picture icon in the post you can use to link it. Or just copy and past the text. But it should tell you what was crashing so look at that program.
