So this is my first PC building expirirence and after building the system which consists of a ASUS 970 Pro Gaming/Aura motherboard, an AMD FX-6300 CPU, a single 8 gig HyperX Fury DDR3 1866 RAM, a Zotac GeForce GTX 1050, a WD Blue 1 TB HDD in a Deepcool Kendomen ATX Mid Tower. After putting together I plugged it in the RGB lighting turned on and the SB_Power LED is on, but when I try to power it on (I tried shorting the pins) nothing happens. This motherboard has some some LEDs that are supposed to turn when setting is wrong with the CPU, RAM, VGA, or boot devce, however, non EOF these are turned on. Help?

Solution

I just retro-fitted one of these to my 6350 computer.

First I tried the 3x2 12V header into the CPU power.. No joy, same as you saw.

Then plugged in the 2x2 12V same as on my old system.. Made sure to click connector in all the way. Booted right up.
