Hi all,

For the past 5 or 6 months since I built my computer, It has worked flawlessly. However, I woke up today, went to turn it on and nothing happened at all. No lights turn on, no fans spin not even for a split second. I'm not entirely sure whats wrong with it since the night before it worked as normal and turnt off just fine.

Here are my specs:
CPU: Intel i7-4790k
Motherboard: MSI Z97 Gaming 5
Ram: 16GB Corsair Vengence
Graphics: GTX 970
PSU: EVGA Supernova 650W
HDD: 1 Standard WD and 1 Kingston ssd and 1 Samsung ssd.

I really hope that the problem is just the power supply, and because of that I've gone and bought a new one from amazon, the one linked below.

I was hoping that someone could steer me towards a fix for this, and if it is in fact the PSU then it should be fine since a new one is on its way.

Thanks alot.

I've ordered a new psu which will arrive on saturday, and im praying that the psu i have now is the problem. I think my house power is okay as everything else works and Im using a imac now while my main pc is out of action.

you can test your psu by yourself, just use a paperclip to short out green wire with any of the black wires on the ATX connector, and it should turn on.

Do you think its most likely that the power supply is the issue?. Everything was working the night before then no lights, no fans nothing at all. Its really strange.
