t-bird with linux

im finishing my pc with a tbird. im dual boots winbloze 98 se (probably, cuz its for gaming) and some flavor of linux. whats the best one ou all have had luck with?

also on another note, what about going: sound card -> awai stereo (via lin in/out and a cord -> to my speakers.... will that work? is it better or worse then pc speakers?

yes, it should work fine.
most PC sperkers are very low quality.
The best thing is if you like to entertain your neighbors you just crank up your 50 bazillion watt sterio so they can feel the shots fired in Q3 from their living room 8).
