T-Deadly Shadows question

I just acquired T:DS and I've completed the training mission and the
next mission and exited the program after making a Quick Save.

When I restarted Thief:DS I expected to find the last mission listed
when I pressed the LOAD button, but there was no list.

Are not the completed games saved for re-playing at a later date? If so
what do I need to do to accomplish this? And how are they loaded?

Thanks

If you mean a game saved at the beginning or end of every level
automatically, no they're not.

You can save yourself at the beginning or end of every level; I believe
there's also someone who's posted such saved games somewhere in the
forums on ttlg.com.

You said that I could save the game at the beginning or end of every level.
How is this done?

When I finished the training level I saved the game (used F10) and continued
to the next level and saved it before continuing to the next level. The
problem is that the only save I have is the last one, which is the beginning
of the next level (which I haven't played yet).

Clicking the LOAD game button does not display anything any entries on the
Load Game Screen. The manual, p. 7 shows this screen that lists several
games. Presumably selecting one of these will load the game thereby
permitting one to replay it without having to play all the previous games to
get there, as is done THIEFG and THIEF2.

I'm obviously missing something very simple. Perhaps I need to save using
the SAVE button, but thus far it's been inactive. Help!

Inactive?

You're in the game, you hit <esc> to get to the game menu, you click on
<save> and it makes a new save named after the portion of the game you're
in and the date and time. I've got my F11 and F12 mapped out to Quicksave
and Quickload as well.

So the game save button is greyed out? Are you sure you're not just
playing the demo?
