What's the difference between Thief: The Dark Project and Thief Gold?

If I recall, 4 additional levels were added.

I think it were three but they're longer than most of the original game.
Also some things were altered re: blocked doors and where to pick up the
Talismans in order to accomodate the new levels into the story.

The wild bits in The Sword level are exclusive to TG, aren't they?

There's a fourth "blooper's reel" also. The new levels didn't seem
that much larger really. You aren't missing that much if you don't
get those levels, though some people swear by them (I thought only the
opera mission ws better than average). So it's probably better to buy
a Thief 1/2 combo in the stores than to waste time trying to find a
copy of Thief Gold.

I still like the Thieve's Guild mission of TG the best of both the T1 and
T2 series. :)

3 new levels:

1) Thieves Guild
2) Mages Tower
3) Opera House

All three are very well done and it's worth seeking Gold out to find them.
I can find you one if you're interested. I see them frequently at local
shops for like $5 USD

Plus a blooper mission (sort of) of Baffords, with lots of history and
general info about creating T😀P

In addition several of the missions had a few added features including a
particularly cool area of "The Sword" that is worth the price of admission
alone... In my opinion.

Just as a side note... There's also a "Platinum" Edition. This is a dirty
trick by Edios and is just a re-issue of T😀P (non-gold).

If you've never played T😀P, it's worth looking for Gold. If you've played
T😀P and are crazy about it, it's worth looking for Gold. If you played it
but just want to get on with it, or play the FMs, keep your eye open but
don't go out of your way.

Hope this is helpful
