That's pretty much my reaction when I first started.
It smooths out some after the basics. It can also
be addictive or else some of us got brain damage.
In some ways it's fun to do "can I do this" and
"how would that look", and then try it out.

Actually it is quite resentful. It is just biding its time before
enacting its revenge. Just wait until you are in the middle of some
utterly crucial process like updating the BIOS or perhaps the next time
you defrag the harddrive. Then you'll see what "revenge is a disk best
served cold" truly means.

Haha. Hahahaha. Muahahahahaaaaa.

Interesting thread so far. Have you ever tried using another PC? I
bet yours would get so jealous. 🙂

Not sure about Geneve, but I have two PCs.
They don't mind each other, in fact they keep each
other comapany. Sometimes, if they think I'm not
looking, they swap files.

Quite a few ISPs have stopped carrying any alt.binaries groups, largely
due to the amount of space they take up, but also due to the
questionable legality of some of the contents.

It's not the content, it's the greed. They figure they can drop some or
all newsgroups and cut their costs. Customers then have to go to 3rd
party newsservers.
