T5500 Cpu Cooling

So i got a dell t5500 to do some light game design work and gaming my x5660 gets quite hot running around 70-80*c under minor load. is there any better cooler that would fit better than the aluminum block that is stock.

You probably don't need a better cooler. The existing cooler may be dirty and needs blowing clean (outside the case). Also, and maybe more likely, the old thermal paste has dried out and isn't conducting heat transfer as it should any more.

nope replaced the paste with new stuff and cleaned everything before i even turned it on.
