Tab for PCI x16 fell off

So my tab for the gpu fell off and the gpu works and is screwed in, but I was wondering if I take the gpu out could I put in back in without anything breaking and is it gonna effect proformace

shouldn't matter. I'm assuming you are talking about the plastic tab on the PCIe slot?

That tab is just there to hold it in place. If you have a large card with a heavy cooling solution on it then gravity may cause the card to slip out. I'm sure you could figure out a way to brace it somehow if that was a problem.

If the tab is broken then there is no adding it back. If it just needs to pop back into place I'd go ahead and do it. Take care not to push down on the motherboard too hard so you don't crack it.

I have a gtx 1060 6 gb msi, and can I take the gpu out and put it in without it being damaged. Motherboard is asrock ab350 pro4
