Hi guys and gals.

As you can see from the heading, Im trying to find a tablet that could act as a standalone monitor for a PC. Failing that a small screen (10" or less) that doesnt cost thousands of pounds.

The idea is that its something I can use as plug and play when checking old laptops/pc's.

Currently I have to lug around a 15" monitor which is a pain in the rear end.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

it seems that all you want is a smaller more portable screen is that correct?

i did a search on google for portable lcd monitors and quite a few interesting products came up. there are monitors with fold out stands, monitors with wrap up type stands (like some e-book cases and netbook/tablet wraps). something along those lines would be much thinner and easier to lug around (a small laptop carry bag would work).

or do you need a diagnostic tool in addition to a monitor? it seems as though you currently only use a monitor without issue. i'm not sure if you could easily rig a tablet pc to display the external signal but if you have a smartphone you could use it in conjunction with an lcd panel along with an app and cable with some electronics and kb/m to use it as a mini pc for on the go use.
