I have a Samsung galaxy tab 3 10.1 and for the past few days, it takes forever to download any app from the play store. Take Clash of Clans for example, its 50 mb but it takes nearly 30 minutes to download. But my download speed says otherwise. It takes me no less than 10 minutes to torrent a Blu-ray Movie on The Pirate Bay. This only occurs on my tablet, in the play store. Any ideas?

Why would you not think different sites on the internet have different speeds. Just like different people have different speeds in their house content providers use different connections that have different capabilities.

Many times the limitation is artificial. They only have so much bandwidth and they do not want a couple of people with say 1g google fiber using up all their bandwidth so nobody else can get data. They may just say we don't care if you have a 1g download rate we are only allow you have 10m.

You could spend lots of time trying to find out why but it is unlikely you could do much about it. If you could download apps from the same location fast on one device but not another then you could try to fix the device...

It is highly likely there is a restriction in place by the content provider.
