🙂

I haven't played with it, so this is hearsay.

Tvcr2 is multiship combat, so all ships and the planet/base at the
same spot all fight at the same moment instead of one after the
other. 5 Biocides against 5 Death Stars should be fun. 🙂

It is comparable to The Killing Floor (TKF). Maybe you know that
program.

Searching on the Internet will probably give you more info, like a
homepage.

It is a bit more than that - for each ship it is possible to setup combat behaviour, like flee, attack freighters, attack warships, sting (hit and run) etc. A lot of options.

JVC has an addin which allows for easy tactic setup foreach ship, take a look at this screenshot which perhaps gives an idea of how it works:

I also know that an ongoing tvcr2 game needs replacement players (borg, empire and cols)

It is comparable when stating mass combat, but Tkf still has the
"go-in-and-slug-it-out-till-you-die"
standard that VCR has.

TVCR2 has a lot of control over the ships (speed, tactics and
targeting priorities). Big battles can get interesting, especially if
there is a good mix of ships and tactics.

With the new guide, I think people will be able to figure it out
rather quickly.

The guide is here...

There will be a few edited versions on different hosting sites.
RCWorld already has one up.

With Tactical VCR 2 if you want to view battles after turn 30 you
need to register. I have just added the second registration site
link, RCWorld, for those in the EU.
