Hi

I'm a newbie to watercooling and building PCs and I have a question. The Thermaltake website is of no help, so any advice would be very welcomed.

I have just attached the watercooler pipes to my CPU and followed the

process in the manual and I think there is a problem with the flow in

the system. Presently only the power to the pump is connected and the

24pin connected is bridged as recommeded in the FAQ and manual.

I have followed the process in FAQ on the Thermaltake website regarding flow problems, but I can only see a very small flow coming into the tank; a few mini air bubbles seem to flow to the tank and then after 2 secs they stop. I can't see a flow to the CPU at all. Should I easily see a flow both ways?

I have tried adjusting the level of liquid in the tank without any

joy. At the moment it is half way above the top hose. The level of the

tank remains constant when turned on. Should the tank be full to the

top with coolant?

HELP!!!

Yes, fill tank to the brim with coolant.
Unless you have an inline flowmeter (a paddlewheel device inline that spins indicating flow direction) then it is hard to see flow other than checking temps.

It's likely that you have air trapped in the black tube that goes from the tank to the pump right now. The black tubing needs to be completely free of air in order for the pump to function correctly.

We do not have a specific way of completely filling up the tubes, as everyone finds different ways that are most convenient for them. I would recommend you to detach the liquid cooling system from the chassis for now in order to fill up the tubes.

Thanks all for the responses, but could you be more specific. If I understand you correctly, I need to detach the tubes currently attached to the tank, drain them and then fill the tank above the level of the black tube going to the pump i.e. as suggested to the brim. Re-attach tubes, and turn the power on and check flow.

Cheers

The thing is that you cannot disconnect the black tubes, that is why we recommend you to take off the whole liquid cooling system in order to fill up all the tubes.

We do not have a defined way of doing so as everyone finds a different way that is most convenient for them.

Welcome to the ForumZ. From your posts, it looks like you work at or are a tech for TT. Is that a good assumption? If so, then it is awesome to have you around! We've had tehcs from different companies in other boards here - typically memory - but you would be the first that I've seen here in the PSU section.
