Take screenshot of video at each change?

Hey guys,

My courses are recorded as video: the professor's computer's output (full screen ppt) as the video and his/her recorded voice as audio. One of my professors does not give out his slides. What I want to do is find some software that can take the video, and take a screenshot of the video every time the slide changes. So basically take screenshots of all unique frames.

I could then take those images, merge them into a PDF, OCR them and be a class hero!

Anyone know of something that can do this? (not manually, lol)

(Assuming here that you are using windows) Your best bet would probably be to get a copy of WinParrot (Totally free software found at winparrot.com) and use it to emulate the behavior you are looking for on the first run through, and then modify the script it produces to use the IfImage or IfShape functions to check for the changes and take a screenshot if any are detected.

A little bit of manual labor for a big payback, class hero.

Why don't you just get a software that copies the slides to your USB flash drive? 😀
