Takes FOREVER to alt tab, or to return to windows.

Alright so I'm in a situation where it takes 1- sometimes even 3 minutes to alt tab out or return to the desktop screen after clicking the windows key. Its extremely irritating as I do it quite often. It happens only in full screen games from intensive ones such as Arma 3 to less intensive games like CS:GO. This is a fairly recent problem and has happen to me when I was on Windows 7 as well. I was wondering if this was a ram or CPU issue or maybe even windows issue. Is there anything I can do to fix this? Or is my computer just slow in general?

My specs are:

CPU: i5 3570 @3.4 GHz
GPU: GTX 760 OC
RAM: 8GB
OS: Windows 10 64bit Home

Dunno if theres anything else important. Just ask and I'll try to find out.

Hi,

Although this is a long shot but........ if you still have the game running there is a possible chance that the GPU and CPU are giving it priority. Just close all your games down and open a browser.... if it still takes ages to change reinstall your graphics drive (and check for any new ones while you are at it) if its okay at that point then your system is expecting you to be in your game and giving it all the juice...... If its still playing up with only a browser open (after you have reinstalled the drives) then time for new GPU or RAM maybe a system file is corrupted some where.
