Taking desktop overseas?

Hi guys,
Something just came up and I will be moving to China soon.
I had just built a new rig and I would like to take my computer with me, including the RoG Swift Monitor I just got with my new rig.
I was wondering what the best way to do this is.
Is it OK to put all my hardware in a checked luggage? Should I take apart all the parts?
Also, any ideas on if shipping company would be willing to ship everything for me to save me the hassle? And how much it would cost?

Baggage handlers and TSA agents steal things...all day long. I'd take the hard drive carry-on and ship the rest Fedex or whoever.

Do you still have the case box?
If so, put in that and FEDEX.
If not, make a suitable box and FEDEX or UPS. Probably your local UPS store is very, very capable of packing things. I know mine is.

looks like I'll be paying my local UPS a visit to check out the fees.
Unfortunately my case box is the only box I threw away...
