I need a pcie right angle adapter and so far Ive found this
http://www.amazon.com/StarTech-com-Express-Adapter-Servers-PEX16RISER/dp/B002M1DHJG
However its to short for my gtx 970 sc acx 2.0
The only tall pci e riser ive found are from china, such as http://m.ebay.com/itm/PCI-Express-16x-Riser-Card-90-degree-Right-angle-4cm-Adapter-Card-2U-/261717894109?nav=SEARCH
( Plus I really like the color ) im worried about using an unknown product with my mobo and graphics card. Are these adapters safe to use?

Generally they are safe to use, it's really just a matter of joining traces so there's not much to screw up. Just curious as to why you need a right angle specifically? Do you have a small form factor type case (skinny?). If so as already mentioned, they do also make a flexible cable type of adapters which is generally the best way to go as it allows you to put the card exactly where it has to be to fit, and then it joins to it. Here's an example of them:

I would still consider a flexible cable and a separate set of brackets to mount the GPU solidly in the correct place.

I would not want the torque on that riser (or any solid riser) if the GPU were to be horizontal. The board would need to be supported at the far end and you need to make sure that the power leads from the PSU will reach.

Actually - we're probably getting away from the original question. He found one, it's the right height for a dual-slot GPU like his 970, and it folds over the right way and he likes the color. Generally, yes, they're safe to use. There's no components to worry about - it's just extending the traces from slot to slot.

The seller has a good rating, it's a simple piece, should be fine.

I'd still be very concerned with the torque from any such product. A PCBoard riser like that is less quality dependent than a flexible cable. If it would solve my problem and otherwise work, I would buy such a thing and use it. It's cheap enough to throw away if it turns out to be a dud.
