hello all,

I'm not sure this is going to be in the right category, or if anyone is going to have any knowledge on the subject but I figured I would give it a shot.

The school I'm working for has tasked me with getting an older Tandberg 3000 set up for ITV classes to a community college. I've configured the firewall to forward all ports 0-65535 to forward to the machine from the external ip - internal ip. As far as I can tell the forwarding is doing it's job.

When a conference call is placed I am getting both outbound and inbound audio just fine. I'm getting inbound video just fine, however, they are not receiving video on their side.

Testing ive done:
1) we have a polycom system set up on a t1 line here as well. Tried the conference call on it. Same issue.
2) Tried tying into a totally separate circuit not connected to the firewall and doesn't go through NAT. Same issue applies.
3) Attempted to make sure all camera, video settings are correct. Hard to tell... The manual for this thing I found online isn't the easiest to read...(this may be the issue but uncertain)

Only thing I haven't tried is setting the Tandberg up to the T1 line that the polycom is using. I don't think it's a network issue only because if it was I thought connecting it to it's own circuit no firewall etc would of had a clean connection. I'm not super familiar with setting these up and I hope someone out there has done some work with them.. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

*updated*
Little more info that might help. The firewall we are using is Untangle.
The Polycom we have that I'm trying to get it to work with for testing purposes is a MDX 6000

Quick update. I configured the Tandberg, Polycom MDX 600 and a Polycom VSX 7000 all to the network and tested them individually. All 3 give me the same issue of being able to receive video but not send it back. They work just fine if they are hooked up to the T1 isdn.

So.. It must be something NAT im assuming from the different forums ive read online. My question now I guess is Has anyone here configured a polycom or Tandberg on their network using a Gatekeeper or Proxy router or something and got it to work fine?

Again any suggestions are greatly appreciated! Thank you all
